Do you practice yoga? You may attend a weekly class and enjoy stretching out your muscles and toning your figure. But have you ever heard of face yoga?
Well, the same principles apply (although there’s not a downward dog in sight) and it’s a great anti-ageing exercise. Add a few of these facial exercises into your daily routine and see the difference. We also like it because it’s relaxing, can be done in your own home and doesn’t cost a thing!
We met with the face yoga expert, Danielle Collins, who, as well as being able to tell us the health and beauty benefits of exercising the face, has put together a 10-minute face yoga routine that can easily slot into your morning or evening relaxation time.
These facial exercises can tighten the face and the skin attached to it, which smooths the skin. Massaging the skin using face yoga also increases circulation and its collagen elastin, which makes it look fresh and energised. Acupressure on and around the face releases tension and helps you feel relaxed.
