Some of our skin gets more drier than others, while some of us don’t have as much of a dry skin.
Dry skin can happen to anyone. Be it a small baby or even an aged person! This is even more common when the climate gets dry, during the winters.
That being said, Dry skin is also the effect of many other reasons!
A lot of times, our lifestyle habits can often have an effect on our skin. Consuming a lot of coffee or caffeine, smoking cigarettes can also increase your chances of having dry skin.
Let us try to understand what exactly happens when the skin gets dry?
Our skin has both oil & water. Our body is made up of 75% water and our body is also made up of sebaceous glands which are the glands that naturally produce oil in our body.
So what happens when our skin gets dry?
It starts to get rough, it loses its softness and suppleness. In some people, it even starts to peel and in some cases, people can see it flaking too!
But how many of us knew that the skin can get dry even because of certain internal bodily functions!
The good news is that dry skin is common and can be controlled easily!
In our video today, I am going to give you some tips to control dry skin!
Tip 1
Hydrate yourself well. Drink at least two to three liters of water daily.
Tip 2
So make sure to use moisturizing shower gels or ph balanced soap or even cleansing lotions to keep your skin moisturized.
Tip 3
Avoid using loofahs or scrubs, especially during the winter season.
Tip 4
The easiest way to keep your skin moisturized naturally is to apply Moisturiser or coconut oil on your skin before sleeping.
Tip 5
In the mornings, after your bath, make sure to not dry yourself too harshly.
Tip 6
No matter what your skin might be, make sure to use a moisturiser on it, especially during the winter season.
Tip 7
Make sure to not expose your skin to any extreme temperatures – be it an air conditioner or a heater.
Tip 8
Use lukewarm water when having a bath. Don’t bathe with very hot water or cold water.

Remember to use sunscreen on your skin every time you step out.

Try to use gloves when working in water for long periods of time.
