The Secret to Detangling Matted Hair | 4C Hair Detangle | Avoid Unnecessary Breakage with This!!

HELP! MY HAIR IS MATTED! 4C Edition

Tangles happen. Sometimes it’s due to:

😫Keeping a protective style in too long
😫Not combing your hair often enough.
😫Or even not detangling your hair prior to shampooing.

Whatever the reason,

➡️When you experience extremely tangled hair, there are things that you must do to avoid unnecessary breakage.

1. Take your time (for reference what you see in the video took 10min, the entire head took 45min)
2. Make sure the hair is heavily saturated to ensure as much slip as possible.
3. Part the hair with your fingers where it naturally wants to separate (don’t worry about straight parts you can get those when you’re styling)
4. Use your detangler brush from eons to roots until the brush glides through with ease
5. Separate the hair into subsections if needed.
6. Once the hair is d-tangled style as usual

➡️REMEMBER: Shedding is natural! We shed on average 100 stands per day! Multiply that by how long it’s been since you last combed your hair!

✨SO RELAX✨

➡️In this video are used the LOC. Method to saturate the hair. This is because we were going into a protective style after. If you were doing a blowout, I would advise only using leave in conditioner AND WATER to avoid it the hair being heavy while you’re styling or you may need to shampoo again before styling.

✨Save this post for later! Hopefully you won’t need it anytime soon, but as always,

❤️Peace, love, and healthy hair.❤️

P.S this is what I do on ANY curl type! She just happened to have 4C hair!
