The more we see it, the more “normal” it is. 👏
Before you continue reading, like this short and do me a favor–share this with a friend and let’s NORMALIZE this together!
We can proudly proclaim that this IS normal, but what we may not consider is ACTUALLY how normal and COMMON this is (momma to 3 kids, 2 of which are twins) 🙋🏼♀️
All three of my babies were big… My oldest was 9lb 8oz and my twins were 6lbs 13oz and 7lb 15oz! My skin suffered, but their health didn’t. I was the home to 3 healthy babies!
Through my strength training journey, I have learned that it is ok to have stretch marks and loose skin… it is normal and is not something I need to focus on hiding anymore!
I’m sharing this today because I know and understand that witnessing our bodies change like this can be overwhelming and not knowing how to feel about these new bodies can feel defeating. It doesn’t help when it’s something that we fight so hard to hide.
When we go through big changes like childbirth, an injury, or age it can feel impossible to make progress, but your stretch marks, loose skin, or cellulite do not define (or end) your journey!
Speak your confidence into existence and let your body begin to feel what your mind already knows. Begin to slowly build back your strength, focus on simple improvements, small goals, sustainable growth, and your mind will catch up and gain the confidence you need to love your “new” normal.
You are worthy of feeling comfortable in your skin! Say that again: YOU ARE WORTHY OF FEELING COMFORTABLE IN YOUR SKIN!! 🫶
