Infertility. Breast Reduction. Rape. Bulged disc 6 weeks ago, the list goes on. I’ve lost muscle tone the last 6 weeks, not working out. It’s hard, it’s frustrating. Week before last I got out of the shower and an audible “ARGHHHH” came out of my mouth when I saw my dancing cellulite in the bathroom mirror. Holy Spirit was like ‘Whoaaaaa’ how about a little gratitude… oh yea…how quickly we forget.
What are you shaming your body for today? What are you saying or thinking about your body that you wouldn’t say to your daughter or best friend? Your body is beautiful, designed by the Creator of the universe Himself, He calls you worthy, wonderul and righteous. We must change the conversations we have about our bodies. We all struggle, but when we focus on the good, we want to move towards our goals because God tells us to.
No amount of weight loss will make you feel good until God is your source of strength. I know because I weighed the same in 2019 as I do now but back then I was slave to a diet and avoiding social situations to not veer off the plan. That isn’t life.
It’s time to speak LIFE over your body, the areas you love and the areas you’re working on. You are beautiful, JUST as you are! I am proud of you for wanting to lean into your goals, we’re to be a living sacrifice daily and it’s hard to do our God-given work when we loathe our skin.
Take a second to thank your body for all she’s done for you today.
